Ford deal to create 40 jobs

FORTY jobs will be created in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, in a £1.5 million expansion by Kent Plastics

FORTY jobs will be created in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, in a £1.5 million expansion by Kent Plastics. The company currently employs 125 people making decorative plastic mouldings, mainly for cars, and has just secured a major contract with Ford Motors.

Ford has chosen the plant as sole supplier of the new decorative panels for its 1997 Mondeo "WorldCar" range. The IDB is contributing £410,000 sterling to the project.

The managing director of Kent Plastics, Mr Dennis McKinney, said the contract was a "tremendous boost". Orders secured yesterday from North America may create another 20 jobs.
