Jefferson Smurfit Group non-executive director Mr Peter Gleeson has realised almost €3.8 million (£2.99 million) after selling 1.5 million Smurfit shares. Mr Gleeson sold 750,000 shares at €2.55 and another 750,000 shares at €2.47 each last Thursday and Friday.

He retains 1.15 per cent of the total.
