Agri-business group, Golden Vale, has invested £2.2 million sterling (£2.46 million) in an expansion of its Artigarvan drying facility in Co Tyrone to allow increased production of the Metris flour range for Du Pont.
Golden Vale has been producing the flour for Du Pont since the end of last year but a decision has now been taken to scale up production in response to increased market demand.
Metris flour has a high nutritional value which provides high sweetness and calorie levels. This means it is suitable for foods from baby food through to ice cream and yogurts.
