Media group Granada has ruled out any immediate plans to launch a takeover bid for the independent broadcaster Yorkshire Tyne Tees TV.

In a statement to the City, it said: "Granada confirms that unless there is a material change in Yorkshire's circumstances including an offer from a third party - it has no current intention of making an offer for Yorkshire.
