The Margin will need some convincing of the merits of a handwriting examination as a recruitment tool. But we pass on the following examples of handwriting characteristics, for which we are indebted to the British Institute of Graphology, for the attention of any human relations department which sees fit to consider them.
Connected letters: smooth, logical thinker;
Exaggerated connection of letters: laziness;
Disconnection of letters: unco-operative nature;
Large writing: ambition/idealism;
Medium-size writing: conventionality;
Small writing: accuracy - but also signifies inferiority complexes;
Extension of writing in lower zone: sexual and material.
