Hungary has postponed the issue of its first third-generation mobile phone licence tender due to unfavourable worldwide sentiment in the telecoms sector.

Finance Minister Mr Mihaly Varga said Hungary had planned for $69.95 million (#81.5 million) worth of revenues in the budget from the licence in 2001.
