ICC Venture Capital and Mr Dermot Desmond's IIU group have exercised options to buy Datalex shares from its chief executive, Mr Neil Wilson. ICC has bought 874,050 shares and IIU 100,000 shares at €1.85 (£1.47) each.

Under the terms of Datalex's listing last year, both ICC and IIU had options to buy these shares at €1.85 or 75 per cent of the Datalex initial public offering price, whichever is the lower.

The sale of the shares is worth €1.8 million to Mr Wilson.
