ICL, which employs more than 1,000 people across Northern Ireland and the Republic, has won a contract worth £2 million (€2.54 million) to supply managed services for Assurelink, an insurance online quotation consortium.

The Assurelink service will enable independent brokers in the Republic to access insurance quotes online from an extranet, which offers choice of products, faster service and more competition for consumers.

ICL has provided consultancy, design, implementation and hosting of an extranet, as well as developing the applications that underpin the service.
