Eleven Northern Ireland companies, including ten civil engineering and construction firms, are taking part in the first ever IDB trade mission to Tanzania to explore business opportunities throughout the country.

The civil engineering and construction companies are drawn from the Construction Export Group, which was set up by the Construction Employers' Federation in association with the IDB, with the aim of developing export business.

They include the mechanical and consulting engineers Delap and Waller, quantity surveyors Dennis Rooney Associates, the Antrim firm Karl Construction, and Macrete Ireland from Toomebridge, which specialises in the manufacture of precast concrete products.
