The Taoiseach said yesterday the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin docklands was well-placed to become a global leader in financial e-business. Mr Ahern was speaking at the publication of a policy document on e-business for the international financial services industry. He said the move into e-business "can be the next phase of the IFSC success story" and noted the extraordinary growth of the IFSC, with employment up 40 per cent last year. "We are starting the next phase of development by targeting international financial e-business. In doing so, we a re reaffirming the Government commitment to maintaining and strengthening the IFSC's position as a financial services centre," he said.
