Friends First, the Irish arm of the pan-European insurance group Eureko, suffered a 13 per cent fall in net income in the year to the end of June, according to results from Eureko. The results show that Friends First's contribution to Eureko's net income fell from €8.3 million in the year to June 2000 to €7.2 million in the year to the end of last June. Overall, Eureko's net income fell from €215.6 million to €212.2 million. As well as the Friends First operation in Ireland, Eureko also operates insurance businesses in Holland, Portugal, Greece, the UK, Slovakia, Poland and France.
