The High Court yesterday made orders for the winding up of two linked companies with debts of more than £600,000 (€762,388) to the Revenue Commissioners.
Mr Justice Lavan appointed Mr Paul T Shelly, Galway, as liquidator over Larchcourt Developments Limited and Moyode Construction Company Limited, both with registered offices at Moyode, Athenry, Co Galway. Both firms are described as building contractors.
The Collector General claimed that Larchcourt Developments owed a total of £378,408 and Moyode Construction owed £251,842 in unpaid Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE and PRSI, and interest.
Mr Justice Lavan ordered that Mr Tony Harty and Ms Niamh Harty, of Moyode, who were both named as directors of the companies, should submit statements of the companies' affairs.
