Policyholders making a claim on their insurance policy often find the experience initially creates more questions than answers. Lifetime Assurance has just released a claims guide to answer these questions and make filing a claim easier. They also guarantee a three-day turnaround on claims once all documents are received.

The 17-page booklet is a step-by-step guide for each type of claim from life insurance, serious illness and disability to hospital cash policies. The Lifetime Claims Guide includes a section on assigned policies, or those used as security for a mortgage or other borrowings, and other benefit claims on assigned policies.

The booklet is available free from Lifetime or any Bank of Ireland branch and is distributed with all policies sent to customers. To make a claim, policyholders may call the Lifetime Claims hotline at 1850 200 319. The telephone line is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
