DUBLIN BASED accountant Mr David Leonard has been elected international deputy president of the council of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA). A partner in the firm P Noel Leonard & Co, Mr Leonard will serve a 12 month term. A past president of the ACCA Irish region and the Leinster District Society, Mr Leonard became a member of ACCA in 1965 and was elected to its council in 1981.
The ACCA, which has 48,000 members in 130 countries, elected Birmingham based Mr Peter Langard as international president and Mr Jim Waits as international vice president.
