First there was email, now there is video email - and one Internet cafe in London has been quick to see the potential of sending video clips around the world.
In a deal with Logitech, the company that manufacturers "human interface devices", (computer mice), the Webshack Internet cafe in central London is the first in Britain to use eight tiny cameras on its PCs to send video messages in emails.
The clever bit is that the receiver of the video mail does not need any special plug-ins to play it. Instead of sending a file type that the end user's machine might not recognise, the system sends a small executable file that any Windows 95 or above machine can play.
