Irish Life offers dealing discounts to smaller shareholders

IRISH Life has joined the Irish Permanent in offering its smaller shareholders a discounted share dealing service

IRISH Life has joined the Irish Permanent in offering its smaller shareholders a discounted share dealing service. Irish Life shareholders can now deal their shares through Davy Stockbrokers and pay just 1 per cent commission up to a share value of £20,000.

The minimum charge normally applied to such transactions is also being reduced to just £10. Irish Permanent set up a similar arrangement last year with its stockbrokers Riada.

Spokespersons for AIB and Bank of Ireland who also have large numbers of individual shareholders told Family Money that there are no plans at the moment to introduce similar dealing discounts.
