Mobile services group iTouch Ireland will make an application for security of costs today in the High Court in an ongoing legal dispute with hiTouch.
HiTouch, a company that develops digital media products, is suing iTouch for "passing off" under a similar name. HiTouch was founded in 1998 and has worked with mobile phone firm Eircell in the set up of its e-merge portal.
It claims iTouch, which operates in a similar market sector, will undermine hiTouch's brand identity.
ITouch, which is 50 per cent owned by Independent News & Media, was set up in March 2000.
