Kelvinside, the privately owned print and packaging group headed by former James Crean executive Mr Brian Molloy, has expanded its British business with the acquisition of Pace Digital in Bristol for an undisclosed sum.
Pace is involved in small format digital printing and will be renamed C-3 Imaging which is Kelvinside's brand name for digital imaging operations in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle. The acquisition of Pace is part of Kelvinside's strategy of having a national network of digital printing companies in the UK and build up sales of £25 million.
Kelvinside has expanded rapidly by a series of small acquisitions in recent years. Last year, the group took its turnover to £37 million sterling when it brought three small print operations. At the time, Mr Molloy said that the group had a target of £50 million sales by 2002/3.
