British DIY retailer Kingfisher B&Q has received outline permission to build its first warehouse in the Republic.
The warehouse, which will be located on the retail park west of Liffey Valley Retail Park, will be similar to stores in the UK with 100,000 sq ft of internal selling space, a 30,000 sq ft garden centre and a 20,000 sq ft builder's yard.
A B&Q spokewoman said the retailer was confident full planning permission would be received, with work expected to start on site early next year. An opening date of early 2002 is planned.
