Knowledge Well, a software company chaired by CBT Group founder and chairman, Mr Bill McCabe, is stepping up its market presence. A new chief executive officer, Mr Gregory Priest has been appointed as part of the company's drive for further growth. Mr Priest joins Knowledge Well from his post as vice-president and chief financial officer of CBT Group. He will now report to Mr McCabe.

Mr Priest was responsible for CBT Group's financial activities during a period of considerable growth this year when the company increased its after tax profit 85 per cent to $6.1 million (£4.2 million). He will remain on the CBT Group board of directors, and continue to work with the company in an advisory role.

Knowledge Well was established in Dublin last year by former biologist, Mr Dermot Rogers. The company develops interactive education software for people seeking advanced degrees outside the IT area. This is an extension of CBT Group's product line, which caters primarily for the computer educational requirements of large businesses and corporations.
