Declan Moylan will step down as managing partner of corporate law firm Mason Hayes + Curran at the end of next March and will be appointed chairman.
Mr Moylan, who has been managing partner since 1999, will be replaced by Emer Gilvarry, who was elected to the position. Ms Gilvarry is head of litigation and employment law with the firm.
During Mr Moylan's stint as managing partner, the firm increased turnover and staff numbers significantly and opened offices in New York and London.
In the 12 months to the end of March last, Mason Hayes + Curran had turnover of €28 million.
It advised on a number of large corporate deals, including Quinn Group's acquisition of Bupa Ireland and the Riverdeep-Houghton Mifflin merger.
