Legal proceedings taken by one of the unsuccessful bidders for the national aquatic centre at Abbotstown, Dublin, were put back for six weeks in the High Court yesterday.

The case has been taken by Dublin International Arena Ltd, which is suing Campus and Stadium Ireland Development Ltd; the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation; Ireland and the Attorney General.

The proceedings come after the Government's report into the awarding of the contract.

Dublin International Arena, which includes the construction company Sisk, is expected to claim that correct procedures were not followed in the awarding of the contract.
