The Advertising Press Club will present the McConnell Perpetual Award to Mr Louis O'Neill, chief executive and group managing director of The Irish Times Ltd.

The award has been presented only 26 times since its inception in 1954 and is given in "recognition of distinguished personal and public service on behalf of, or through, advertising".

The award ceremony will take place on May 28th.
