The promotion of access to information society technologies for the Irish public;
Fostering e-commerce within Irish business, particularly among the SME sector;
Immediate investment in international bandwidth capacity to allow ecommerce to develop;
The creation of more cost effective access to broadband communications at local levels, and increased use of the radio spectrum;
The immediate implementation of the recommendations of the government's Information Society Action Plan
Schools to become community learning resources for the information society
Investment by industry in continuous workforce training to improve IT skills levels;
The development of indigenous multimedia skills, and the establishment of a flagship incubation centre to attract inward investment;
The drafting of a Civil Evidence Bill to allow electronic communications be admissable as evidence in court;
Identify information society areas where there is potential for North/ South co-operation.
