Edelman Ireland has announced a management shake-up, with Mr Hugh Gillanders moving up to take over the managing director's role from Mr John Mahony, who becomes chairman of Edelman Ireland and managing director of Edelman UK. Mr Mahony will now divide his time between the company's offices in Dublin and London.

The change is unusual in that worldwide PR agencies frequently relocate UK personnel when they open offices in Ireland, so this movement in the opposite direction is a coup for the Irish branch of the worldwide operation.
