Fast food chain McDonald's unveiled plans yesterday to create another 10,000 jobs in Britain and Northern Ireland before the Millennium.
The announcement came just hours after the company trumpeted expansion plans to create 5,000 new jobs during 1998.
Altogether McDonald's is planning to open 100 new restaurants next year and another 200 in 1999 and 2000, boosting its number of outlets to 1,130
The growth will create 5,000 new jobs next year, and another 10,000 before the year 2000 - 3,750 full-time and 11,250 part-time jobs.
