Portfolio Lab, an annual speed-dating and networking event for the advertising and design industry, will be held in The Irish Times building this Thursday.

Organised by the Institute of Creative Advertising and Design (ICAD), the event is intended to help emerging talent break into the advertising and design industry. Attendees show their work to three leading Irish creative directors and receive feedback.

The event is aimed at graduates and final-year students with an advertising or design portfolio that they would like critiqued.

Portfolio Lab will also feature “etiquette classes” that discuss the dos and don’ts of pitching creative work to prospective employers in the advertising business, with creative director Eoghan Nolan from Brand Artillery and Think&Son advising students and graduates on how to go about getting themselves noticed for the right reasons.
