Advertising planning and sales company Publicis Media made a pretax profit of €965,000 in the year to the end of June 2011, up 28 per cent from €696,000 in the previous period, according to documents just filed at the Companies Office.
The buoyant performance marks a turnaround on a year of declining profits and turnover in the 12 months to the end of June 2010.
Turnover increased 11 per cent to €104 million, the accounts for Publicis Media Ltd show. The company employed an average of 74 people last year, up from 67 the year before.
Publicis is the owner of several media sales agencies including Mediavest, Starcom Media, Clear Blue Water and Radical Media, which operate under the Core Media umbrella. Core has also added the agency Mediaworks to its stable.
Publicis Media is affiliated to the French multinational communications giant Publicis Groupe, the third largest marketing group in the world, but is locally owned.
Shareholders in the company as of the end of June 2011 are listed as Pádraig Moran, Nicholas Fletcher, Eddie O’Mahony, Aidan Greene, Cormac O’Shea, Craig Farrell, Alan Cox and Jill Downey.
