TELEPRINTER:Everyone loves Twitter – well, apart from John Waters, who has never liked it; Gary Lineker, who departed the social network abruptly last Friday; and pretty much anyone who still uses the word "Twitterati".

If you love Twitter enough to work for it, the good news is the company is hiring an associate communications manager based in Dublin.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a “proactive media relationship campaign” and helping to “communicate Twitter’s corporate story”.

Necessary qualifications for the role include three years’ experience in corporate and/or business-to-business public relations, and either agency or in-house experience with a consumer, online or media company.

“Experience handling communications around policy issues that may impact an online internet company” and “ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment” are among the other prerequisites.

The successful candidate will “provide communications support” to Twitter’s director of public policy in Europe, Sinéad McSweeney, the former director of communications for An Garda Síochána, who took up the social media job last summer. Interested applicants who aren’t already following her on Twitter can do so at @smcs.

Indeed, the chances are if you’re the right person for the job, you’ll know all this already . . . because you’ll have seen it on Twitter.
