The Margin, being a rugged outdoor type, can hardly credit it, but a new survey - aren't they all - suggests that thick-skinned businessmen could soon be creatures of the past. Three quarters would happily lie back and have a complexion-clearing facial, according to a British survey. It found 73 per cent of 1,000 business travellers polled said a stressbusting massage or facial treatment would be more than welcome to soothe their ravaged skin. The survey, conducted by Hayley Conference Centres found the most enthusiastic about first-time beauty treatment were aged 24 to 40 years. But the biggest stumbling block was concern about being seen as vain by colleagues.

However, the Margin is relieved to report that chest hair waxing remains unpopular, with none of the 1,000 men polled willing to try it.
