Forget the in-laws or whose turn it is to do the washing-up - research published this week shows that money is the main source of marital tension. Commissioned by Prudential Insurance and Woman magazine, researchers in Britain looked at financial matters for 1,197 people who are either married or living with a partner.
According to the Press Association, the survey found that for almost a quarter of couples money was the main cause of stress and tension in their relationship.
Spending money without telling your partner first was the key financial flash point, said respondents. There's a surprise!
