A twelve week strike at the Montupet car plant in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast has ended after an agreement was reached between the company and striking and dismissed workers.

Under the deal, dismissed workers are to receive an ex gratia leaving package and workers who do not wish to return to the plant will get a severance package based on enhanced redundancy payments. Details of the agreement have yet to be finalised between the Labour Relations Agency and Montupet's.
