Navan Resources has announced it has been awarded a new exploration licence over "a highly prospective gold-bearing area in the south-east of Bulgaria". The Krumovgrad exploration licence covered an area of 130 square kilometres close to the Greek border in a region "known for the presence of epithermal gold deposits", Navan said. It is 180 kilometres south-east of the Chelopech gold and copper mine operated by Navan.
