SOME 25 employees in seven different companies have qualified for a new national award in total production maintenance.

The award is aimed at promoting teamwork in manufacturing industry and reducing "down time" spent on maintenance. It is funded by the EU and sponsored by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions.
