If somewhere in your dim dark past you remember dancing around your handbag or propping up a nightclub bar with your tie askew and your shirt not quite tucked into your trousers, then chances are Anabels was involved.. The Burlington Hotel's own hugely popular nightclub has been on the go since 1973 and it has just had a £500,000 makeover which includes more dancefloor, curvy bars and acres of blond wood. They've also got a website which is always an indication that a club is keen to attract young clubbers.

Inspiration, however, seems to have run out when it came to renaming this new temple of modernity - it is now called Anabel, which the PRs assure the Margin is singularly more modern than its old name.
