Northern Ireland's Industrial Development Board will announce a $4 million investment (£2.7 million) today by the US-based software development company Webforia in Belfast. The company, which employs 35 people in Bellevue, Washington, will establish a programming centre, employing about 45 people over three years, to work on its ongoing project of specialising in "the end result of Web research" by organising "infoglut" or excessive Internet information.
"The problem is not that you have enough information. It is that you have too much. All the tools in the marketplace help people to generate content," said Webforia's vice-chairman and co-founder, Mr Brian Cassidy.
