NOSTRA SYSTEMS has acquired another Irish IT company, Rocklan Technologies, for an undisclosed sum. According to its managing director, this will be the first of many acquisitions, as Nostra seeks out small IT businesses that want to become part of a larger organisation.
“We are looking for small IT companies with a handful of staff that are at break-even or even making a small loss,” said Kevin O’Loughlin, managing director of Nostra. “We want to build the amount of clients and acquire really good skillsets so we want engineering-driven companies with a good client base.”
Nostra offers cloud, virtualisation and IT services to companies in Ireland. According to Mr O’Loughlin its aim is to reduce the amount of technology that companies use directly.
To date, a total investment of €1.2 million has been made in Nostra by Mr O’Loughlin and other investors.
He said Rocklan Technologies had a strong client base across a large number of sectors though there was little use of virtualisation and cloud technologies.
