Mr Craig Burton, a founding member of the multinational software group Novell, has taken over as chief executive of Twelve Horses, a Dublin-based firm which develops messaging software. Twelve Horses has also move its corporate headquarters to the US from Dublin.

A spokeswoman said this would not affect jobs numbers here further. Three weeks ago the company laid off eight people at its Dublin office. It now employs 18 staff.
