Des O'Meara was the big winner in this year's Radio Advertising Awards. Of the nine awards presented, it took three, including two for its work on 98FM and a third for its client L'Emporio Italiano. Peter Owens won for ads for Cadbury and MDL.

The awards were presented in Dublin by the television presenter and actress Denise Van Outen. Other winners were DDFH&B, the Helme Partnership, Today FM and CDP.
