The communications group, Oglivy & Maher Ireland, has acquired Galway-based Internet strategy company, Interact, for an estimated £10 million (€12.7 million).

As part of the deal, Interact, which was established in 1994 and employs 55 people, will serve as a production centre for the group's interactive brand building service, OglivyInteractive.

The OglivyInteractive consulting service, which was launched in parallel with yesterday's acquisition announcement, services clients in more than 40 countries.
