Background:Graduated with an honours degree in marketing and management from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2001. Set up his first company, Clear Solutions Telecom, in October of the same year, and sold it in December 2002 to WorldCom.
In 2003, he partnered with the Western Australia Taxi Association to set up Clear Advertising, specialising in in-taxi advertising. At the end of 2007, he joined local hotelier, Greg Sanson, to develop a luxury apartment complex on Boracay Island in the Philippines. Set up Zumpty.ie with business partner Darren Greenan in June 2009.
Challenges: “Zumpty.ie is basically a very simple concept: when you need a service, you type it in and you get quotes back. Even so, it’s something new, so the challenge will be to get people used to it, to make sure they’re happy with it and to make turning to it second nature.”

Most Important Thing Learned So Far:"Someone said to me early on in my career, 'remember this, Gavin, every day's a school day. They were right. Never switch off. There's always something to learn and there's always something you can do better."
