From the "If It's Tuesday, It Must Be Frankfurt" Department: The Margin hears that Daragh Scaife and Wael Wansa, two of the founders of rapidly-growing Dublin e-business consultancy Oniva, spend so much time on planes these days that they - and all their friends and co-workers - barely know where they are from one hour to the next (although, thankfully, the boys still know up from down).
Much international activity followed their merger with a German web consultancy during the summer and now several days each week are spent visiting clients and partners in far-flung spots. Recently, Wansa rang Scaife by mobile to catch up while waiting for a flight. "Where are you?" asked Wansa, walking through the terminal. "Frankfurt airport," came the reply. "What? I'm in Frankfurt airport!" said a surprised Wansa.
Alas, the boys were heading to different destinations from different terminals and thus had to continue with the executive meeting via mobile.
