The March seminar of the Electronic Commerce Association of Ireland will examine investing in an online presence. The event, which takes place next Wednesday evening, will consider the diminished role of intermediary organisations since the arrival of e-commerce, and attempt to predict what role independent distributors can play in future. The presenter will be Mr Tom Rourke, chief executive officer of Assurelink, a joint venture between nine of Ireland's leading life insurance companies and the Irish Brokers' Association which aims to develop e-commerce in the broker market.
