Paris surges to all-time closing high

The Paris Bourse powered its way to an all-time high as well as a record closing high. During the session, the indicator reached 2,666.19, an all-time high. The previous all-time high was 2,658.62 points, reached during the February 18th session. Share volume was strong at 8.8 billion francs on the monthly settlement market.

Frankfurt DAX: 3,364.99 (+44.33)

The Frankfurt stock market closed at yet another record high as the DAX index jumped by 1.33 per cent from its previous record close of 3,320.66 points on Tuesday. The market was boosted by a strong dollar. The bond market dropped, and the average yield on government issues jumped by 0.07 of a point to 4.95 percent.

German shares rose further in after-hours electronic trading.

"There are some decent volumes there and the greenback is helping, especially with the exporters," said Mr Josh Waiblinger of equity sales at BHF Bank.

Milan Mibtel 11,905 (-95)

Shares in Milan traded nervously suffering a substantial loss. The Mib had been as low as 11,843 in the morning and as high as 11,993 during the session. Share volume declined to 850 billion lire.
