Vistatec has appointed Mr Thomas Murray as finance director to the board. Mr Murray joins the company after three years as head of the finance division at SDL International's Japanese office.

Ms Maura Hyland has been appointed director at Veritas Publications - a division of the Catholic Communications Institute of Ireland. Ms Hyland joined Veritas in 1982.

Lucent Technologies has announced the appointment of Mr Rom Bates as channel sales director business partners Ireland. Mr Bates will be responsible for the indirect sales team. Before joining the company, Mr Bates was Lucent product manager for digital communications management.

Interact has appointed Mr Michael Durkan technology manager. Mr Durkan is a former Internet project manager for MAC's Group Deutsche Bank.

Mr Fergus Murphy is to take up the position of sales executive Buyandsell.net. Mr Murphy, from Limerick, joined the company from Bank of Ireland, where he worked as a new business assistant in the motor loans department.

Braxtel Communications has expanded its management team with the appointment of Ms Karan Thompson as vice-president of global customer services.

Ms Ann Corcoran has been appointed as head of marketing for Eircom Net. She will be responsible for marketing the firm's range of business-to-business technical and commercial e-business solutions.

Ms Corcoran joins Eircom from Statoil Ireland, where she worked as franchise development manager.
