Mr Sean Wade, the former head of banking regulation at the Central Bank, has joined Friends First as head of compliance and group company secretary, a new position within the company.
Mr Fintan Corrigan has become managing director of Swedish Match's British operations. He is currently managing director of Swedish Match Ireland (formerly Maguire & Paterson).
Life Strategies, the actuarial and strategic consultancy firm, has appointed Mr Gerard Davis and Mr Michael Culligan to its board of directors. Both joined the company last year as consulting actuaries.
Ms Lola O'Higgins is the new managing director of Meeting Point International, the conference planning and event management company. Ms O'Higgins has worked in tour operating and conference management in Ireland, Britain and Australia.
Mr John Fitzsimons has been appointed business manager with Rover Ireland. He joins Rover following 10 years with Toyota Ireland where he held several sales and marketing positions, including Toyota Brand Manager.
Ms Fiona Fox is the new support manager at Hewlett-Packard Ireland (Sales and Services). Ms Fox has returned from Britain where she worked with HewlettPackard for four years.
The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) has appointed Ms Judy Fay as secretary and head of membership services. Ms Fay has been with the ICAI for eight years in its practice review and practice advisory services division. She is a member of the working party, established by the Tanaiste, Ms Harney, and chaired by Mr Michael McDowell, SC, considering changes in company law.
Ms Pauline Logan is the new enterprise officer with Dublin City University. The posting involves assisting graduates with entrepreneurial proposals. She previously worked with PLATO, the small business development programme in Dun Laoghaire and Co Wicklow.
