Mr Padraic Liston has been appointed managing director of Murphy Brewery Ireland with effect from October 1st. Mr Liston, currently the company's commercial director, is a chartered accountant and has represented his native Kerry in Gaelic football.

MS Heather Ann McSharry has been promoted to the position of country manager with Boots Healthcare Ireland from the position of marketing manager.

Mr Niall MacNeaney has moved from being sales director, Wrangler Ireland, to being area director, VF Jeans Brands Ireland, whose portfolio includes Wrangler, Lee and Old Axe. Ms Carolynne Carverly has been appointed as marketing executive, VF Jeans. The new general manager of the Stillorgan Park Hotel is Mr Ronan Doran who was general manager at the Palace Hotel, Manchester.

Mr Bill Flannery has been appointed chairman of Capital Consulting, the developing benefits consultants and administrators. He was formerly chairman of Hay-MSL management consultants.

Chaplin, the manufacturer of promotional and advertising gifts, has appointed Ms Mandy Solan as the manager of its new corporate event management division.

The new product group manager at Showerings group is Mr Conor Stapleton, who will have responsibility for the Cidona and Ritz brands. Mr Peter Kelly has joined Spicer & Co, the accountancy and consultancy group, as a project management consultant for its emerging markets portfolio.
