Nortel Networks has appointed Mr Barry O'Sullivan vice-president, products and technology, Europe.

Mr Michael Nolan has been appointed the first chief executive of the Irish Direct Marketing Association. Prior to his appointment, he was managing director (UK and Europe) for AiC Worldwide Pty, the conference and exhibition organisers.

Interoute Ireland, trading as Spirit Telecom, has appointed Mr Brendan Moran marketing director. Mr Moran previously worked at An Post as marketing manager.

Mr Pat Kiely, who worked with Rover Ireland, the motor distributors, has been appointed managing director of the Automobile Association (AA). He succeeds Mr Pat Bushnell who is retiring.

Recruitment consultants Ms Larissa Griffin, Ms Ursula Higgins and Ms Janette Lynch have joined together to form a new company, GHL Recruitment.

Cooney Carey Consulting, the audit and accountancy firm, has appointed Mr Stuart Gallagher director of taxation. An associate of the Institute of Taxation, he will specialise in tax advice and planning.

Aspect Software International has appointed Mr Paul Monaghan marketing manager. Mr Monaghan previously worked for Bank of Ireland where he was manager, group development.

Mr Yan Du has been appointed marketing manager of Parke Davis Ireland, the pharmaceutical division of Warner-Lambert Export. Mr Du previously worked for Eli Lily and ATC Diagnostics.

Anshe Ltd, he provider of postal Web applications, has appointed Mr Sean Henneberry chairman.

A chartered accountant, Mr Henneberry is chairman of Ryan Hotels and Qualceram as well as holding a number of other directorships.
