Arnotts has appointed Mr Mark Delaney trading manager. He is currently group head of marketing, Brown Thomas Group.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) has appointed Dr Albert Power director of education and training. He was law school principal at the Law Society of Ireland since 1994 and director of education since 1996.

Ms Olivia Keohan has been appointed broker consultant at CGU Life's new Waterford offices. She previously worked with Prudential Assurance and Eagle Star.

Electrolux has appointed Mr Michael Forde financial controller of its Irish subsidiary. He has worked for Kvaerner Process as finance manager for the past seven years.

Mr Brian Condon has been appointed general manager and director of Bridgestone/Firestone Ireland. He was previously sales manager - consumer products.

BT has appointed Mr Hanif Lalani chief executive of BT Northern Ireland. Mr Hanif, who is also deputy chairman of Ocean in the Republic, joined BT Northern Ireland last year as finance director.

Qualceram has appointed Mr Robert Hassell executive director, effective from January. Mr Hassell has been a non-executive director since April. He has been involved in the bathroom industry for a number of years as a director of several companies, including the Spring Ram Corporation and Symphony Group.

Arthur Andersen, the tax, audit and business consultants, has appointed Dr Les Lennox head of the firm's customs and excise practice. He was formerly a principal officer with the Revenue Commissioners, serving on the European Excise Committee.

Mr Tom White has been appointed sales manager for the Mace Retail Group by Vantage Wholesale. He will be responsible for developing Mace in Munster. He previously worked with Musgraves as regional manager for SuperValu in Munster.
