Mr Donal O'Callaghan has been appointed chief financial officer of the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group. He was formerly European chief financial officer with Wilshire Financial Services Group.
Mr Robert Barr and Mr Gene Murtagh jnr have been co-opted to the board of Kingspan, the builders' products group. Mr Barr was previously managing director Europe for Bespak, and Mr Murtagh was managing director of the group's environmental containers businesses.
Iomega, the manufacturer of smart, portable storage solutions, has appointed Mr John Gilmore director of European operations. He was previously director of Iomega's European customer satisfaction centre in Dublin.
KPMG has appointed Ms Darina Barrett assurance partner in Financial Services, and Mr Shaun Murphy tax partner. Mr Paul Toner has been appointed a partner in KPMG Consulting. He joined the firm in 1997 from IBM where he worked in the Global Services division. An Oige, the Irish Youth Hostel Association, has appointed Ms Anne Keogh ACCA general manager. She joins An Oige from Adare Printing Group, where she was group financial accountant.
Ms Tara O'Sullivan has been appointed marketing director at Esat Telecom. She joins the company from Iona Technologies where she was associate vice-president, marketing.
Smurfit School of Business at UCD has made three appointments to its North American Advisory Board. These are: Ms Jean Kennedy Smith former US ambassador; Mr Michael J Roarty, president of the Ireland US Council for Commerce & Industry; and Mr Dennis Swanson, president and general manager, WNBC, and co-chairman, NBC Olympics. Ms Bernadette Gallagher, director of the Doyle Hotel Group, has been appointed to the Irish board. Mr Peter Morrogh has been appointed president of the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS), which represents more than 150,000 IT professionals. Mr Morrogh is IT development and quality manager with Lifetime, the life assurance subsidiary of Bank of Ireland.
